| I've decided that if Mississippi were to have one of those CLEVER t-shirts, it would say that Mississippi is for Mississippians. Get me back in the city! I kid, I only got here yesterday; I woke up this morning after everyone left for work or school and took pictures outside. It's all green and humid and overgrown, and the trees are pretty tall. Much easier to breathe here, although the Starbucks coffee is just as expensive.
My big little brother has a football game tonight - he's the kicker - so I'm hoping to go relatively incognito in ski mask and camo and not run into anyone I graduated with. Although it's one those high schools that really seems to hire as teachers about 348% of people who used to go there. I'm surprise visiting my grandma and best friend's mom today, and my dad left me the sweet car - THE NEW TOYOTA woooooooooooooo
I plan on some Chik-fil-A and then some runnin' later.
In my real life news: School started this week, I'm back in school! I'm getting my masters in public health and am preparing for my as-yet-unnamed dream job. Hopefully saving the world in some minuscule capacity. I am also becoming quite the intellectual academician, it seems, as my brain has swollen enough to try to read "Beyond Good and Evil." I am taking copious margin notes.
Considering joining a rec soccer team that plays on Sundays this fall, but the cost is $70 for only 7 games ... plus a jersey. The jersey alone may be worth it, and I've been mildly running this past week to see if I can get in some sort of passable shape to run for a whole game (although I'm just a defender - I tried to play midfield once in high school and pretty much died and then vomited on the field. 5 times, true story).
What else, what else ... E is back from Mexico City, although I'm sure he will never update Xanga again to tell you ALL about it. He got a camera stolen, but no bruises or injuries, other than the food-related ones I'm not allowed to tell anyone about. He stepped off the plane with lots of gifts and ... a beard! He is also working part-time and taking grad economics classes and undergrad math classes (calculus 2 this semester). I have to tutor him constantly, as he is too stupid to remember how to integrate functions properly. I can't believe this is all I'm using my math PhD for.
I sincerely hope that everyone is recovering from a wonderful summer and that all your dreams are coming true. And that they involve puppies and butt massages and frozen custard. To my secret exercise accountabillabuddy: I've already had the pumpkin spice latte 3 times WITH SKIM! so no worries. You are still beating me.
